Durande

Continuing on this work which is based off reading Toilers of the Sea by Victor Hugo. This is meant to be the Durande. Painting this forces me to remember the imagery in the long passages describing Gilliat's rescue of industrial engine parts. Drawn to this book because of the transition of technology from wind power to steam power and how it effects the motivations of the characters.
